If there were ever a time to dare, to make a difference, to embark on something worth doing – it is now.
Remember dares from when you were younger? ‘I dare you to jump from that slide to the swing.’ Youth when things were so carefree and dares were not seen as daunting feats. || What if the things you do don’t impact anyone? Don’t make a difference? Is it still worth doing? || Now (adverb) – at the present time or moment.
Not for any grand cause necessarily, but for something that tugs at your heart, something that’s your aspiration, something that’s your dream; you owe it to yourself to make your days here count. Have fun. Dig deep. Stretch.
Your actions don’t have to be mega and noticeable by millions around the world, they can be as simple as picking up a candy wrapper that you see on the ground. || What moves you? Where does your desire to be what you want to be come from? What is your dream? || Take a moment and think. That second that just passed by, you will never have it again. And that second, and that second. Make your time count. || Have fun (but be safe), dig deep (plant lasting roots), stretch (to the sky and back.)
Like a terabyte, big. Like the universe, big.
Know though that things worth doing seldom come easy. There will good days and there will be bad days, there will times when you want to turn around, pack it up and call it quits. Those times tell you that you are pushing yourself, that you are not afraid to learn by trying.
You have been running several miles and it’s down to that last 150 meters. Push yourself. You are seconds away from being done. Go; don’t stop, not till you pass that line. || We all have them. Some of you might just have had a bad day but go to sleep with the perspective that tomorrow is another day. And it can very well be a good day. Get up and start a brand new day.
(verb) – to continue steadfastly or firmly in some state, purpose, course of action, or the like, especially in spite of opposition.
Because with an idea, determination and the right tools, you can do great things. Let your instinct, your intellect and your heart guide you.
It starts with an idea, gains with the desire to execute the idea and pursuant of the things to make your idea come true. You have a brain, use it. Be careful with your heart, though.
Difficult thing to do though, right?
Believe in the incredible power of the human mind. Of doing something that makes a difference, of working hard, of laughing and hoping, of lazy afternoons, of lasting friends, of all the things that will cross your path this year.
Trust and believe. The human mind is a great thing. Remember the brain you have? || What small (or big) thing will you do that you can reflect on and smile knowing you made some kind of difference? || Work hard. Laugh so very much. Don’t fear hoping. Enjoy your free afternoons. Nurture friendships. Embrace everything that happens to you.
The start of something new brings the hope of something great. You owe it to yourself to make your days here count. Anything is possible. There is only one you and you will pass this way only once.
New (noun) – ‘of recent origin, production, purchase, etc.; having but lately come or been brought into being.’ When you wake up in the morning, that is a new start. The day is a potential in itself. || How can you use your time wisely and efficiently? || Anything really is possible. Y0u don’t know what limitations are until you face them, and many limitations can be overcome with desire, hard work, commitment and sacrifice. || ‘Today you are you, that is truer than true. There is no one alive who is youer than you.” || Another second you can never have back just went by. And another.
Do it right.
Do. It. Right.
